SOME OF MY TEACHING EXPERIENCES
I believe that my mission as a teacher is to create a safe space for young individuals to grow to their full potential. My primary goal is to educate students for the future and to prepare them to be 21 st century leaders.
My objective is also for them to be competent professionals and/or passionate academics. I value preparing them for this complex and challenging world they will face.
I want to use my experience and education to empower the students to be changemakers, to contribute to social change and improve society both locally and globally.
Secondly I want to contribute to a learning community and collaborate with my colleagues on different projects. My final goal, but certainly not the least important, is to continue to improve myself and my teaching. I am interested in learning what others have found to be successful methods of teaching. I want the chance to reflect on what I have done well or not, with the ultimate goal of continuously building a better class for the next time.

I designed and lectured 5 new highly experiential, interactive, action-based learning and collaborative courses.
DIGITAL COMMUNICATION COURSE
Digital Communication, developed digital literacy skills offering the student a modern experience while developing life skills.
DESIGN THINKING COURSE
The design thinking course was an introduction to design thinking. It provided skills and tools to students to apply design thinking methodology and enhance students’ creative ability and mindset. The course dealt with value creation, storytelling, empathy, innovation, complex problem solving, design, creativity, and ideation. The aim of the course was to involve students in a design thinker mindset in order to identify, define and solve complex problems. Finally, the course involved action-based learning that centered round workshops, icebreakers, gamification, teamwork, and other challenges.
SOCIAL INNOVATION COURSE
Social Innovation, challenged the students to solve a social problem in an entrepreneurial way. It explored tools of creativity to develop worked on problem solving and analytical skills.
AUTHENTIC LEADERSHIP COURSE
The purpose of the authentic leadership course was to explore the impact of emotional intelligence and motivation based on research theory with specific coaching experiences.
HAPPINESS MANAGEMENT COURSE
Based on positive psychology, the student-centred module challenged the
students to design well-being experiences based on current research theory.
EDC PARIS BUSINESS SCHOOL
Guest Lecturer of Social Entrepreneurship (2016)
This course introduces students to both the theory and practice of social entrepreneurship through highly experiential, interactive, and collaborative workshops. Working in a team and on a social issue they care about, students learned system thinking skills, entrepreneurial mindset, skills, and tools to start up their own social venture or work in a social business.
LEIDEN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE THE HAGUE
Guest Lecturer of Entrepreneurial Production (2020)
In this 200-level course student teams will build, market, evaluate and improve their Minimum Viable Product (MVP) over several iterations. (“Product” can mean a business or social good or service.) The process begins with an initial idea based on assumptions. You will then test that idea against reality and use feedback loops to improve the MVP in the next iteration. Project execution is challenging due to uncertainties over people, processes and resources, but setbacks provide learning opportunities. Students will emerge with experience in working together and developing robust business strategies for operating in the appropriate “market.”

During the course students develop their own social enterprise start-up to tackle a Sustainable Develop Goal of their choice. Student engage in assumption and prototype testing, and finally pitch their ideas to a panel of judges from industry.
